Product Details:
- Fiberglass Drain Board insert for use with concrete countertop fabrication.
- The Eclipse Drainboard has 5 raised areas in the mold, which create recessed channels in the finished concrete. These channels are designed for inserting specially laser-cut stainless steel trivets, available separately here.
- Clean, nice edges. Fast and simple to use. Add a professional drainboard to your countertop form in minutes.
- Seamless integral drainboard, countertop, and/or sink.
- If you need the edge that meets your sink to have a radius to match the sink- No problem, just scribe the fiberglass and cut with a fine-tooth jigsaw.
- Reusable- Durable fiberglass construction allows reusing the mold time and time again. (Unlimited with proper care)
Product Specifications:
- Measurements: 12" Wide, 15" long, 1/4"-1/2" Sloped Height.
**NOTE: Height can be lessened by trimming/sanding down the fiberglass mold to your desired size.
- Due to how thin this drainboard is, it is sometimes necessary to silicone the drainboard into place in your form, and then place a heavy object on the drainboard to ensure it lays flat until the silicone dries, holding it flat and in place.
Mold Setup:
- Apply a few coats of a strong wax, such as a carnauba based wax, the the mold prior to pouring concrete. We also sell a release agent that is safe for fiberglass, and does not leave an oily residue on the finished concrete.
- Molds are designed to simply be siliconed in place, and concrete packed or poured over them.
- Still need more information? Click here to download and print an instruction sheet for using the molds.
Mold Removal:
- WAX and RELEASE AGENT!! Using wax and a release prior to pouring concrete will usually will allow this drainboard mold to just be pulled by grabbing one end and gently lifting.
- Special care should be taken when removing this mold to ensure the concrete around the trivet recesses does not get damaged.
- Sometimes this mold will remain siliconed in place to your countertop form when you strip the form off the concrete. Keep this in mind when you flip the countertop over and remove the countertop form (try to pull the form straight up, away from the concrete).
Mold Care:
Clean with a sponge after each use. Any damage can be repaired using epoxy or gelcoat, and sand smooth when dry. Small scratches can be removed by using a scotch-brite pad to sand the whole mold, and then wax and buff the mold to desired gloss finish.

Usually ships within 2 business days.
